PADDINGTON TERRACE INTERIOR

Characterised by its leafy streets and coveted Victorian terraces, Paddington is a Sydney suburb filled with architectural delights – and unexpected surprises. Behind the ornate frontage of my latest Paddington project, a terrace home refresh, lay an interior originally shaped by renowned architect Anthony Gill.

A Paddington terrace bearing the hallmarks of Gill's meticulous craftsmanship and design, I approached its renovation as an evolution rather than a complete refresh, where the new interiors would effortlessly enhance and expand on Gill's original concept. The vision was a seamless and harmonious fusion of past and present through the considered use of finishes and materials.

To achieve this synergy, I began with a neutral yet inviting palette in careful response to the established American Oak joinery and brass fittings. The introduction of linear strip lighting intentionally reflects the home's strong geometric lines. I took great pride in renovating this historic house and elevating, honouring, and respecting its architectural legacy. Infused with contemporary elements, the new look of this Paddington terrace home interior is the embodiment of timeless sophistication and thoughtful change.
